A lace-to-toe style Monkey boot with a hand-stitched Baseball seam upper built on the Hank Jr. last in Sumi Ink hand-dyed “Gasoline” Horsebutt leather, Dr. Sole Raw Cord black full sole & Trooper’s heel, flat waxed cotton laces, Black Oxide finished brass hardware, choice of 6 or 8 inch ankle shaft height and 270° Norwegian Storm Welt construction.

About our “Gasoline” Horsebutt leather, part of our SUMI SERIES…
Gasoline Horsebutt is a tri-colored hand-dye recipe incorporating Yuen-boku Sumi Ink (Black), Red and Green dyes. It appears Black out-of-the-box and will age through the top layer of Sumi dye through the underlying layer of Red, until it finally wears through to a Green core.
The Horsebutt leather that we use to make “Gasoline” is vegetable tanned by Maryam Tannery, located in Santa Croce, Tuscany, Italy and is glazed finished with a breathable but durable TPR (thermoplastic resin) layer on the smooth top-side of the leather.
